Petzl RIG

$240.02

Compact self-braking descender.

Created as an alternative to the Petzl STOP and a descender Pacific Ropes would be happy to recommend any day!

The RIG is a compact self-braking descender primarily designed for experienced rope access workers. It has a multi-function handle that allows control of the descent speed and positioning at a work station without the need to tie off the device. The safety clip reduces the risk of dropping the device and facilitates passing of intermediate anchors. And the automatic return system on the handle limits risks in case of an involuntary action by the user.

The automatic return function on the handle is a great addition as it means less chance of catching your handle while you are working and engaging the cam when you least expect it. Also, the storage setting for the handle makes it nice and compact when storing on your harness or even better when it's hanging on your harness not in use.
