IRATA TechConnect Is Here: What Every Technician Needs to Know

IRATA has officially launched IRATA TechConnect, the new and improved platform replacing the IRATA Technician Portal.
TechConnect gives Technicians a simpler way to manage their certifications, access important documents, and stay up to date throughout their rope access career, all from one convenient online dashboard.
New Requirement for All IRATA Assessments
As of May 30, 2025, all Technicians registering for an IRATA assessment must be registered with IRATA TechConnect before their scheduled assessment.
For new Level 1 candidates, this means you must:
- Register for an IRATA TechConnect account
- Be added to the IOS Assessment Day Form (ADF) at least 48 hours before your assessment
As your Training Member Company (TMC), Pacific Ropes can help guide you through the registration process. However, it's important that your TechConnect profile is completed and verified before assessment day.
What Can You Do with IRATA TechConnect?
Your TechConnect account allows you to:
- Update your personal and contact information
- View assessment results and certification history
- Track recertification due dates
- Access official IRATA documents and policies
- Browse job opportunities from IRATA Member Companies
- Order replacement certificates and ID cards
- Coming soon: Access your digital IRATA certification directly from your dashboard
TechConnect is designed to make managing your IRATA certification easier while helping you stay compliant, connected, and ready for your next assessment.
How to Register
Getting started is quick and straightforward. Visit the official IRATA TechConnect registration page and follow the registration steps.
During the signup process, you'll need to upload one valid form of government-issued photo identification, such as:
- Passport (preferred)
- Driver's licence
- Government-issued photo ID
Make sure your identification is current, unexpired, and clearly legible to avoid delays in verifying your account.
